FICTIONAL BUSINESS / 3 DAYS AWAY
Name an available approver. Record the limit and escalation route. Practise an exception.
A name on a checklist is the beginning of a handover.
THE COMPLETE KIT / $49 CAD
Fill in your actual tasks, people, dates and decision rules. The planner checks what you enter and brings the gaps and daily work into one report.
Plan an absence of 1–31 days with up to 100 tasks. Enter schedules, dependencies, primary owners, backups and confirmation status.
Review flagged gaps, daily cover sheets, task assignments, approval rules and rehearsal prompts. Print the report or save it as a PDF using your browser.
A printable PDF to work through the absence, discuss responsibilities, test a handover and record what needs changing.
Save your planner data as a JSON file and import it later. Keep a separate plan for each absence without an account or subscription.
You supply and confirm the business details. The kit checks declared information; it does not contact your team, verify permissions, reserve staff time or guarantee that operations will continue without interruption.
FREE / THREE TASKS / NO ACCOUNT
Start with the fictional example, or replace it with three tasks from your business. Run the check to see how the plan changes.
Your answers stay in this page. They are not uploaded or automatically saved. Refreshing or closing the page clears your edits. Use role names and general record locations, never passwords or private links.

CHECK OF THE DETAILS PROVIDED
Alex away · Mon, Nov 2 – Wed, Nov 4
These counts describe the information entered, not verified readiness. The check does not confirm people’s availability, permissions, skills, capacity or completion of work.
Approval still needs an available, explicitly authorized person. A task backup is not automatically an approver.
Prerequisite “Approve the Tuesday supplier invoice” has an unresolved blocking gap.

A FICTIONAL WORKED EXAMPLE
Alex, a cleaning business owner, will be away for three days. Morgan agrees to cover a supplier invoice, but Alex remains the named approver. A supply order depends on that approval.
The task has a backup, but its approval step still depends on the absent owner.
Name an available approver, record the business-approved limit and decide where exceptions go.
Ask the backup to handle a fictional request above that limit. Can they find the record and identify the next step without guessing?
BEFORE YOU START
The planner uses your dates, schedules, owners, backups, approvals and dependencies to assemble the plan and flag declared gaps. A daily cover sheet changes when your inputs change. The workbook supports the discussion and rehearsal that software cannot do for you.
Edit three fictional tasks, set an absence period, run the check and review the assignments, gaps and daily actions. The purchased kit adds the offline planner for up to 100 tasks, save/import, the full printable report and the eight-page workbook.
The purchased planner is a downloaded HTML file you open in a current desktop browser. The workbook is a PDF. No special application or paid subscription is required. A desktop or laptop is recommended for saving, reopening and printing your files.
The free check keeps your answers in the current page. They are not uploaded or automatically saved. Closing or refreshing the page clears your edits. The offline planner lets you explicitly save a data file to your own device. Use role names and general record locations; do not enter passwords or private access links.
No. It means the selected checks did not find gaps in the details you supplied. Your team must still confirm availability, authority, access, capability and workload. Rehearse the plan and resolve real-world problems before relying on it.
